Some of my favorite ideas come from simply following a creative spark—and this one started with a complimentary card. 

When I sent out a wholesale order to a recently remodeled boutique hotel, I included a surprise: a retro-inspired soda shop card I had just finished designing. The hotel had leaned into a nostalgic theme for their remodel, complete with a vintage-style soda fountain and the owner’s husband proudly taking on the role of “the soda jerk.” I thought the card would be a fun fit—and it turns out, I was right. 

She loved it so much, she placed an order right away and told me it’s become one of her new favorite cards. Since then, other retailers have started stocking it too, and it’s quickly become a summer favorite across the board. 

Creating this design was such a joy—from the swinging feet on the stools to the fizzy floats and colorful lights. I even brought the vibe to life on Instagram with retro diner music and a sweet little reel (yes, feet swinging included!).
